Katie Taylor recorded a unanimous decision over American lightweight Liz Leddy at the Silver Springs Hotel in Cork tonight.
The Louisiana-born orthodox puncher, who boxes out of the Portland BC, took a standing count in the fourth as Taylor cruised to victory.
Tonight’s win is the 124th of Taylor’s career. She’d due to meet Leddy against tomorrow night in the main event of the evening on the Peter Crotty Memorial Tournament at the Dungarvan Sports Centre in Waterford.
Saturday’s fight will be Taylor’s last outing before the AIBA World Women’s Championships and Olympic qualifiers in China in May.
