 START BOX

Start Box is a revolutionary new programme aimed at anyone aged 10-21 years who would like to participate in boxing.

It is a totally safe , non contact and fun way to learn the basics of boxing and keep fit at the same time.

The course is being rolled out summer 2010 to local shools, sports clubs and community groups by Irish sporting legend and 1992 Olympic Champion Michael Carruth and a team of Boxing Development Officers.

 

 

 

 

 

 WHAT IS START BOX ?

Start Box is a fun / no contact and completely safe introduction for anyone who would like to get fit and learn more about boxing. 

WHO IS IT FOR ?

It is aimed at anyone aged between 10-21 years who perhaps have never been inside their local boxing club.

WHO IS BEHIND START BOX

Start Box was developed by the IABA , Dublin City Council & The Irish Sports Council. The programme is being implemented initially in Dublin and led by 1992 Olympic Champion Michael Carruth, Oisin Fagan, Tommy Ahern, Paul Quinn and current National Amateur Senior Champion Eric Donovan.

WHEN DOES START BOX COMMENCE

The First Start Box courses commence in June 2010

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED

If you are a local community group, club or school you can talk to your local Dublin City Area Officer. Very shortly we will be posting up details of all locations where you can take part in a Start Box class.
