Six Irish boxers will be in action on Day 1 of the European Schoolboy Championships in Russia…..
Ireland’s young boxers will open their European Schoolboy Championships campaign with six bouts in Anapa, Russia today.
Francie Stokes, Conor Quinn, Aaron McKenna, Oliver McCarthy, Matthew Davis and Christopher O’Reilly will all be between the ropes by the banks of the Black Sea.
The Irish squad will take part in the opening ceremony parade at 4pm (local time) today and seven more Irish boxers will be in action tomorrow.
The will be joined by Stokes, Davis and O’Reilly if the Irish trio come through today’s bouts.
The full draw will be available shortly. Anapa is three hours ahead of Ireland.
