AIBA World No. 8 ranked Ray Moylette out of Friday’s and Sunday’s Elite internationals with France.

Irish head coach Billy Walsh has confirmed that current European light-welterweight champion Ray Moylette is out of the weekend’s double header of Elite internationals with France in Cork and Dublin after picking up a neck injury.
 
Moylette, who boxes out of the St Anne’s BC in Westport, and has been replaced by Waterford’s Rohan Date for  Friday’s match with the French at the Rochestown Park Hotel in Cork and Kildare’s David Oliver Joyce for Sunday’s second leg at the National Stadium in Dublin.
 
Moylette picked up the injury in training this week. Billy Walsh admitted that the injury was a worry ahead of the opening bell for the 2013 European Elite Championships in Minsk, Belarus on June 1st.
 
Ireland will have their final training camp for the European Championships in Kiev, Ukraine later this month and will travel straight from the Ukrainian capital to Minsk.
 
Meantime, the Irish squad leave for Cork early this afternoon ahead of Friday’s 10-bout meeting with the French.
 
Tickets for Friday’s international in Cork are now on sale at the Rochestown Park Hotel, Rylane Post Office and from John Wiseman, Secretary of the Cork County Board.

Boxing begins at 2pm on Sunday afternoon. Doors open at 1pm. Tickets will be available on the door.
