Katie Taylor hammered out her second win in 24-hours over American lightweight Liz Leddy at a sold-out Dungarvan Sports Centre last night.
The World number one, who beat Leddy on a unanimous decision in Cork on Friday night, followed that up with another unanimous decision in the main event of the evening on the Peter Crotty Memorial Tournament on Saturday evening.
Louisiana-born Leddy, who boxes out of the Portland BC, took two standings counts in the third and a further standing count in the fourth and final round of Saturday’s 60Kg clash.
Ten bouts were decided on last night’s Dungarvan BC hosted show.
“It was a fantastic performance from Katie. She was on top all the way through against a tough opponent, said Gerry O’Mahony, President of the Munster Council and Secretary of the Dungarvan boxing club.
“We’re delighted with the turn out for the show and the quality of boxing and it was a great night all round.”
