IRELAND’S 2012 OLYMPIC RESULTS

The six-strong Ireland  boxing squad did their country proud at the 2012 Olympic Games in London…..

Ireland’s boxers won 13 and lost five of their bouts at London 2012.

Katie Taylor, John Joe Nevin, Paddy Barnes and Michael Conlan took home one gold, one silver and two bronze medals from the Games.

Team captain Darren O’Neill and Adam Nolan both won on their Olympic debuts in London.

Billy Walsh, Zuar Antia and Pete Taylor were working Ireland’s corner at the Games.

The Irish team finished in 5th spot in the medals tables and in 6th position in the rankings tables at London 2012.
