A nine-man Irish squad has been named for an upcoming Multi-Nations tournament in Kaunas, Lithuania.
The IABA have named a formidable looking nine-man squad for the Algirdas Socikas Multi-Nations in Lithuania.
Ten-time Irish Elite champion Ken Egan, a silver medal winner at the 2008 Olympics and a two-time European bronze medalist, will wear the Irish light-heavyweight vest in Kaunas.
Tyrone McCullagh, Eric Donovan and John Joe Joyce, who between them claimed three bronze medals at the 2008 and 2010 European Senior Championships, have also been named on the Irish squad.
Donegal’s Jason Quigley, a gold medal winner at the 2009 European Youth Championships, will line out at middleweight, while Steven Ward, who claimed silver for Northern Ireland at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in India, is also included.
Former Irish Elite champion Philip Sutcliffe, Chris Phelan and Sean Turner have also been called up to the Irish panel.
